Olympics Fever

so the olympics have started in canada! i wasn’t too into it, but i saw the hoody by park life for aritizia and i fell in love.  the opening ceremony was kind of disappointing compared to the summer olympics in 2008 with china, but canada doesn’t have the manpower so it’s understandable. so far, i’ve watched:

day 1:
- women’s moguls! jennifer heil won silver… still good. except i felt bad when the americans were waving their flag and she was just standing there looking disappointed.
- men’s short track speed skating, 1,500m. this was pretty exciting. i was SO SURE korea would take the sweep, until the last bend when one of koreans almost took out the whole team. a good race!!!

day 2:
- men’s moguls! which are more exciting than womens… i think because they can get a better speed and can jump higher. canada wins gold! HURRAY. i think it’s shocking that given canada’s hosted the olympics twice in the past and has not won gold.

- women’s speed skating, 3,000m. canada wins bronze! YAY
- pairs figure skating, short program. go china!!!!!!!!! they are so skilled. though i will never look at it the same way, after watching the canadian team, where the guy sliced the girl’s face during a side-by-side spin. how scary.

today:
- snowboarding!
- pairs figure skating, long program
- short track, 500m

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
